@froggy62 I'm not sure I understand what is happening. Are you talking about a mechanical/hardware sounding rattle coming from inside the guitar? Like something is loose? Or is it an electrical rattle coming from the amp? Something that is more like a short.
If the former you should be able to, as @Rasbo suggested, resolve it "with a twist of a screwdriver". Certainly Epiphone should stand behind the warranty but I can understand your reluctance to be without the guitar for weeks again.
Are you in the part of the world that you have access to a Luthier? If so, you will have to suffer a bench fee but it might be worth that to have it looked at by an expert and get it resolved.
