Just like the title says, I'm new to guitar and as of about 30 min ago I am a full access member to this site. I ordered a guitar which came in Wednesday and I'm ready to get started. I am now the proud owner of a Seagull S6 original. With my full access membership I also received the free "Chord Theory Magic" program. I have absolutely no experience playing guitar. I'm a complete newbie! My question is where do I begin? Whats the best way to learn? I do understand that practice is the best place to learn but I was hoping for a little more advice than something that vague. Do I simple go to the beginner tutorial and just practice that over and over? Do I learn notes first or chords first? It all just seems a bit overwhelming.
