amps and amp heads
Hey, i know this might sound stupid but i really don't know a lot about amps and i was wondering if you can use and amp head with any cabinet even ones from different brands :)

Sure you can use a head from brand A with a cab from brand B.
HOWEVER
You need to ensure that the impedance match.
In other words, if your amp head is expecting an 8ohm load, make sure the cab is wired for 8ohms. There are ways to rewire a cab (must have multiple speakers) so that it can be either 4 / 8 / 16 ohms.
There are lots of great sites out there that can explain this way better than I ever could. Just do a search on guitar cab wiring.

Yes and no.
All depends on what you buy. ;)

I know man.. I hear you. We've all been where you're at. Have you gone to any local music stores? What about any kind of Craigslist? Is there anything like that in Portugal?
