Hey everybody, so first i want to introduce myself, im shay, and i have a question, i was a full accessed member on this site for 2 months about two years ago, i went step by step on the basics even tho i already could somewhat play a song on the guitar, (i was just following the tabs on guitar pro on my computer and repeated that untill it sounded ok) i knew how to play the song "like a monkey" monkey sees monkey do.. so anyway i watched all the basic videos and then i just got stuck which happened about 2 days after i bought the membership, i kept the membership on the website for a total of 2 months because i went to keep learning but everytime i went in.. i didnt know what to actually do, which is the problem you dont have with a one on one teaching, the teacher tells you what to practice on for how long how it suppose to sound like and tells you how to practice, im thinking about buying a full access on the website again but i dont want that to happen, there are alot of information on the website but not an actual HOW to learn to play the guitar.how to practice. or maybe it changed since then? anyway, there arent any teachers i know of that teach guitar in my area but if there was i would be willing to pay ANY PRICE to learn how to play the guitar and i have the time and motivation to learn and im not a guy who is looking for the short and easy way only for the right and most simple and clear way to do it.

what do you guys think? should i buy a membership here again or should i travel for another town (probably an hour drive each time)? maybe theres another way like online one on one classes? that prolly will be best

hey man I did learn a lot from this site, is is a real good site but you must work on that guitar ..... keep it simple and work on it .... way until that guitar neck is wear out ....beside this you need to jam with someone ...that about the two best way to learn (my opinion ) you dont need a million of pedal or 100 different guitar just play play play play on it .... simple thing over and over and over and then move a bit higher ... this site is almost as good as a teacher, and a lot better than a lot of different other way to learn.

Hey Shayohayon,

Thanks for the question. Because there is so much to learn here at Guitar Tricks, it can be overwhelming at a first glance. That's why we created things like the Core Learning System so you can have a structured curriculum and know exactly what to do next.

Recently we've also added the Art of Practice lesson section where our instructors show you how to practice and get better the right way.

I think once you take a look at those two thing, you'll be surprised how easy it gets.

As always, let us know if you have any questions or concerns. :)
