Ok I have an Ibanez s-470 equiped with a low-trs locking tremolo system that I recently changed strings on. Prior to that, it stayed in tune perfectly no matter what I did to it, but after changing strings a few days ago (two days ago I believe) all the strings keep falling flat. I had some problems changing strings on the low-trs and had to mess around with the springs in the back a bit, but I'm pretty sure everything is back the way it's supposed to be; except that it's not staying in tune.

Is it possible the strings are still adjusting? I've never known strings to take more then a a few hours, a day at the most to adjust. Anyone had experience with this?

Did you stretch your strings in when you put them on? That is something that makes them much faster at adjusting, and makes them less prone to intonation problems. Otherwise....

I mean, ask someone else, I really don't know.

Don't tempt me... I'm getting so frustrated.

As for stretching strings, yes I've heard that that really helps, but I never did it when I first put them on. Since your post though, yes I've tried stretching them a few times and whammying the hell out of them, with the dampeners at the head removed of course. But nothing. I'm thinking it might be a hardware issue.

Any other suggestions?

It keeps falling flat...
