DAMN STRAIGHT!!.
Keep your guitar.. you need inspiration ask your mates about what new bands they like or listen to the stuff that got you started. I almost switched to Keyboards after buying a ****e Marlin guitar, which put me off so much i traded up to an Ibanez (which I still have after 15 years)and THEN was worried about playing it so switched, but couldn't play the keyboards.. I was very confused at the time.
I suggest going on a break somewhere and not taking the guitar with you..think about it when you're away and how much you miss it.
Alternately, go back to basics and practic(s)e getting a rock solid rythym on simple [open] chords.
Don't even look at the books, for a while, too much book work CAN addle the brain.
Filter out the stuff that's draggin at you, if you can, and when you play concentrate really hard on your playing- force yourself..even if it's only a few minutes a day.
Keep on keepin on :)
Accuracy,you say? hmm interesting concept..
