This is one of the saddest days of my musical life. One of my favorite bands and one of the greatest bands of all time is disbanding after a 20 year run.

After suffering a hand injury Megadeth's Dave Mustaine said he can no longer continue on with the band.

No one can deny the immense scope of Dave Mustaine's influence in establishing the roots of American heavy metal. After all, who else can say they've been in both Metallica and Megadeth?

We're all guitarists here, and I'm sure many of us in some way are saddened by this announcement.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on Dave and Megadeth, guys.

Education is a whip, and I'm being flogged.

Man I didn't know that!

Megadeth was a big influence for me. I remember practicing to the Rust in peace album. Tornado of souls was one of their best songs.

I can't beleive this. I stopped listening to their music with cryptic writting. They had gone to a style I didn't like but I still respected those guys.

Wow, this is a sad day indeed.

here's my top ten list best songs of Megadeth

1- Holy wars
2- Tornado of souls
3- Peace sells
4- Symphony of destruction
5- Five magics
6- Victory (For all it meant)
7- Skin o my teeth
8- Psychotron (I don't know why but always liked it)
9- 99 ways to die
10- one song of so far... so good... so what... that I can't remember the name :)

The only thing I can say is thanks for the ride Dave!
