I'm so glad to hear an instructor say this! I just love to play the guitar, plain and simple. The only time I don't play my guitar is if I'm away on vacation or visiting. I'm a firm believer that time playing the guitar is time well spent, even if it is just noodling around. Perhaps the time could be better spent focusing on a song or a technique, but time just banging around is better than not touching the guitar at all.
