Where is everybody? This section should be full of "Fender Bender", "Goblin' Gibson" Sites !!! Here's one of the good ones,really......
http://www.guitaretab.com/gtab/a/24
The link may bring you to one of the AC/DC pages cause it's where I was last time. But believe me, I have yet to find a more complete easy to use and free Site.
I've got a Blonde '62 Strat I call Goldie(after the fox of all time G. Hawn), but I like to play my Screamin' Blue Mustang. Some say I ruined it by routeing out the bridge pick-up hole, but with the Humbucker I got from Apple Music firmly planted in the scar and the lightning action of the worn rosewood, the instrument eaisly holds it's own among any of the greats (old or new). "..and you'll never hear surf music again." Anyone get the connection, or recognize the quote?
But back to the linkage srinkage....Am I missing something?

Welcome to the site :)

If you look above the threads it says something like "show threads from" -then a drop down box with number of days in it. Threads here don't get many replies so they usually drop out fast,it seems.

I still get confused by this

That's a nice site you posted,by the way.

And ya don't REALLY want the Fender and Gibson sites do you??

Here's an idea of what to do with a Strat - single coils=phooey :D

Cheers.

Accuracy,you say? hmm interesting concept..

Phooey??? Well "...to each his own". I guess a humbucker is louder and dirtier, but it sorta depends on the size of the amp. Single coils perform cleaner and truer and with a Marshall stack (or similar high power setups) more than hold their own with humbuckers. But, I don't usually play with high power, and I too chose to replace the bridge pick-up of "Goldie" with a duncan stacked coil designed for Strat replacements. The "stack" configuration, however can't compete with the original Gibson "Humbucker" side by side. Maybe that's one reason I let the Mustang out of it's case way more than the much heavier Strat.
Thanks for your reply, and yes, got any good Fender/Gibson Sites? I'll head to the site you recommended directly. But (guitar wiring)been there, done that...Thought I'd start up a business and call it "Re-Rocked Guitars" but it was just a fleeting idea.
Keep your pick in your pocket... ;) mm

the "single coil = phooey was a joke!" [i rewind me own single coils, so i've got to love the bloody things]

I completely LOVE a good Telecaster and have never played a "proper" Strat, which probably has it'd good side too.

I do come down in favour of Teles or Gibsons on the whole though.

This seems to be a good Gibbo forum, from the few times i've been in

http://www.lespaulforum.org/base.html

then there are the links off http://www.gibson.com

and i've got to check into this one further

http://www.fenderforum.com/forum.html

and http://www.fender.com

[the 60 cycle hum can be quite good].

for the record i've got a standard Gibbo and a rewound Tele (copy), I love one because of it's sound and the other beacause i rebuilt it [hence created it's sound]

Nice to have another (re) builder onboard, tell us what you did with your wiring, I've only been at it a couple of years, so all experience welcome.

Cheers.

James.
