I play the recorder. And I've started to learn to play keyboard.I would love to be able to play drums and sax,in that order.I'm sure those sounds you guys are talking about are cool, but I've never heard those effects, mainly because I don't have an amp, yet. That would be a valid explanation, right? But I can try and imagine.I think being able to play, and play fairly well, something else besides the guitar has a sense of musical all-roundedness,if that's the correct word.

Ouch! a flanged melodica sounds like a serious medical condition.

Welcome Hellion.

Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull played the flute to great effect..*thinks.. getting OLD James*
Accuracy,you say? hmm interesting concept..

I guess just like the legeng goes, people are different.I say this coz hellion says he hates classical stuff.I,on the other hand, would love to learn classical stuff.I will get to do it,eventually.
And btw, someone told me that classical music(Beethoven,Morzart, and the likes) largely outsells rock.Dunno if this is true. But I have no reason to disbelieve. It's not, however, the reason I want to learn classical.I just happen to love it.I remember listening to some of my mum's stuff as a kid,and even she would wonder how I listened to it.She had it coz she had to,she was a music teacher.Otherwise it bored even her. But,hey,I liked it!Still do!

Actually, a lot of Metal is very Classical influenced.

Though Metal drummers tend to get into Jazz.

If you are doing this you are just tired and need a break.

I used to get this a lot when i was studying.

Go for a walk or have a coffee and then go back to it.
