Our band is looking into this and I'm not quite sure if it would be worth it. We're an original band, but can pull of a decent amount of covers. We don't want to be a "cover band". We mainly just want to push our original stuff and get gigs. Seems like Gigmasters is mainly geared towards cover bands or bands for large events.
So does anyone have any experience with the site that can recommend it for an original band?

Hey Hunter,
I've never used Gigmasters.com but you're right, it looks like it's geared toward cover bands. Usually these sites are because there's more $ in it.
My experience has been, if you know a few covers and throw them into your original set mix, you can get some gigs around town. Got any friends that gig? One of the first places I've found to get gigs is by teaming up with another local band.
