Japan has little concert halls that are called "live houses". They're interesting. The nice thing about them is that they already have amps and a drumset for you to use there. On the other hand, you don't get paid to play but instead must PAY TO PLAY. So there are TONS of bands that never make money here. Good for audiences but bad for bands.
