It would help a lot if you can tell us on what level you play guitar. Are there already some guitar songs you can play and some you have tried that you found to be to difficult?

So are you just starting out as a beginner or do you already have some skill?

You are really confusing. (No offense)

You say you are brand new to the guitar but already have played acoustic guitar for two years? Electric and acoustic aren't any different from each other on most points, except you mostly play other kinds of music on each instrument.

Since you are looking for a way to start off with guitar you can sign up to this website (since you are currently a registered user) to go full access.

Guitartricks has a full course for absolute beginners called the Guitar Fundamentals. Perhaps you want to try that. But since you are thirteen you will probably have to ask your parents to pay.

Also... referring to the opening post... when you are just starting out and already looking for songs as Hotel California and Dani California my advice would be to not even try those songs. Those songs maybe more for experienced intermediate players. Start with something simple.

But my advice, most out of everything, would be to search for a personal teacher. Since you are really young that might be the best thing to do. He can set goals with you and start looking for things you want to play.

Best of luck.

I know you're 12.... and I'm not trying to be a grammar nazi.....but wow. PLEASE learn to use punctuations at least. Shouldn't have to read that paragraph more than once to decipher what you're trying to say. Still don't really know.

From what I can make out, you're basically looking for tips to start out as a beginner.....but you don't want beginner material?

I think you are looking for this.
http://rocksmith.ubi.com/rocksmith/en-us/home/index.aspx
It will teach you guitar and let you play rock music at the same time but you will need a PS3 or an Xbox to play it on.
