I've been playing for many years and have to tell you that the barre/power chord was one of the hardest chords I had to learn hands down!! The upside to learning this chord is that it opens up a whole new door to playing. Do you have any idea how many chords you can play using a power chord?

In time with a lot of practices you'll find that your fingers will automatically fall to the right position, just as with most other chords.

Practices going from an open chord to a barre chord back and forth slowly, and you'll find that you will slowly speed up as time goes on.

I know for me, it was a huge turning point in my guitar playing and after learning it I felt like I had just won the lotto.
Before you know it, you'll be sliding all over the neck wackin out tons of new chords and sounds !!
