******* VOODOO CHILD *******

THE LONGEST-RUNNING & ONLY AUTHENTIC JIMI HENDRIX SHOW~!!!

Straight out of New York City & fronted by Jimy Bleu (who has been carrying on the Hendrix tradition through direct musical lineage), the 3-piece band presents an unique high-energy stage show, augmenting much of Hendrix’ material with today’s Rock, Funk, Caribbean, Jazz, Worldbeat & Hip-Hop rhythms.

A former Columbia/Def Jam recording artist in his own right, Bleu has been performing a detailed Hendrix tribute worldwide since 1968, while a member of the official Hendrix fan club at Warner/Reprise records. He was one of the students responsible for having Hendrix address a small assembly at his school, high school of the Performing Arts in NYC.

Starting in the late 1970’s, he has also been giving lectures on radio, TV & college campuses, expounding the musical, spiritual & political importance of Hendrix.

"VOODOO CHILD" has performed in major venues across the globe, which has included the Woodstock 25th anniversary "Freedom Fest" (as featured act), Atlanta Pop Festival, Reggae Sun Splash, MTV-sponsored 'Rock The Vote Tour', and numerous radio promotional concerts. They have also appeared on German TV, BBC TV in London and MTV as well as opening for some of the top names in the rock scene, such as Foghat, Slade, Aerosmith & Graham Central Station.

In 1983, Bleu performed and acted in an off-Broadway play based on Hendrix that was made into a short film which aired in the early 90's. That short film is now in post-production as a feature full-length film due to be released shortly, called "Voodoo Child: A Man & His Guitar".

The trailer to the film is linked here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mw9ECBTuTLM

In the recording studio, Bleu is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, exceedingly re-creating Hendrix' sound on guitar, bass, live drums & vocals.
