Hi!

I just wanted to ask:In full membership, do you get a lesson which shows you how to set up your amp to sound like rock, blues, metal etc.?

If you don't, then I just bought my electric guitar for nothing because I don't know how to set up my amp so it sounds cool! :(

On most amps you should just have to turn up the "Gain" knob to add a more distortion. Some amps have a "Pre-Gain" and "Post-Gain". One of them will control the volume, and the other will control the amount of distortion. Play around with those if you have them on your amp to see if they will turn up the distortion for you.

What kind of amp do you have?

Or you can just use Google.... Saying you bought your electric guitar for nothing just because this site doesn't have a lesson on that (Not sure if they do or don't) is a bit much....

There are a few vids that cover amplifiers and peripherals. If you have the manual, have a look in there; sometimes the manual has a few settings illustrated.
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.
