In the end the love you take is equal to the love you make.
Hi I am new
Hi all...I just registered tonight and I thought I would say hi...I am a guitar player/ singer trapped in a waitresses life. I have come here to try to soak up some more new information about guitar and music in general...So Hi to all I hope I can contribute as well.

Hmmm...ok lets see...I have been singing forever. I was in a band with an original CD out. It was pretty good but personal issues between me and the drummer prevailed and it kind of fizzled out. I have been playing guitar for about 8 months. I go and play open mic nights just me and my Dean about once a week and I have a new group put together but it is stil in the baby stages...just rehearsing right now...I am not tellin you how old I am...anything else?
In the end the love you take is equal to the love you make.

I am 27 years old and I guess I am just sensitive since my rock n roll shelf life is about up!...hehe...I was just being silly. It is that old never ask a woman her age thing.

"Old" is entirely in the mind.
I swerve from fifteen to sixty on a regular basis. Keeps people nice and confused.
But back to the point: Welcome to the board!

I dont know why women are so sensitive about their age. I think it is ingrained in us by a society that says the older we are the less attractive. It is all bunk but there anyway. Thank you guys for the welcome!

Cool to here that oyu had a CD out, you're certainly one up on a lot of people that post on this board. In terms of Rock and Roll shelf life, I'm 19 and I reckon mine is sort of already gone as well, but it's a bit of a joke isn't it? It depends on whether you want to be the "new big thing" or actually play Music, which seems to be what you are already doing.
Welcome.

I disagree about the rock and roll shelf life thing, if your good you can play for a very long time. Look at ozzy, he's been playing forever.

Thanks for bringing a reminder of one of my all-time favourite albums with your username.

"Old Lady" :)
A few words for you off the top of my head, Bonnie Raitt,Nina Simone, Cheryl Crow, Tina Turner.. and Kylie
*mmmmmmmmmmmm Kylie* - nurse, the pills.
I'd rather (listen to) any of those (within reason) than "Atomic Kitten" or any little girl bands.
Hang in there and keep on keepin on.
Cheers.
