I downloaded all of the member access apps (tuner, finders, etc), and also the "guitar tricks video player." I'm confused about what the video player is for. Is this so I can download a lesson and watch it offline, or...?

Hi John

Thanks for writing in! The ability to download videos and view them offline is one of the great perks for Full Access Subscribers. All our lessons are available for download to Full Access Subscribers in Flash Video (.flv) format, which requires a proper media player. However, due to our agreements with music publishers we are unable to provide downloads for individual song lessons

On each of our instructional videos, there is a download button at the bottom right-hand corner which looks like a downward-pointing arrow [↓]. It can be found directly to the left of the volume control. Once you click the download button, your computer should prompt you on what to do next.

Full Access Subscribers also have access to the Full Control Video Player which can be found by following this link:
http://www.guitartricks.com/flvplayer.php

Please note that there are separate Full Control Video Players for Windows or Mac OS users. Simply download and run the player, and then you can drag and drop the .flv files you've downloaded from GuitarTricks.com.

You may also choose to use a third-party .flv player such as: http://www.wimpyplayer.com/products/wimpy_standalone_flv_player.html
Keep in mind that we cannot provide support for third-party software.

Let us know if you have any difficulties- technical or otherwise. We'll be glad to get you through them.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact us.

I know that all videos now download as mp4, but I would like to be able to use the loop feature if I download a video. Is there a player anywhere on the site that can be downloaded that supports the looping feature that is present while online?
