in the scale finder of gutar tricks it will show like 5 different pattern for scales for just practice say on the pent minor scales where do I begin just for practice and am I understanding that minor pentatonic and blues acale are basicly the same with a slight emelishment mixed in to make a blues scale out of a pent minor scale.?

so I am not overwhelmed which I am just for practice minor pent is good for both blues and pent minor scales ?

I'd go with the A minor pent 2nd position.. The visual pattern is simple.. IMO..

Yes, the blues scale adds the b5th (flat fifth) to the minor pentatonic (the embellishment, as you put it). Sounds like you're getting it!
