Im having a hard time finding the right keys when I play solo's, the speed, timing and technique are all good but I can't seem to hook up the right key most of the time.

Any help would be appreciated!

Just choose a scale, A minor pentatonic is good, find the notes in one position , and play for many hours

This isn't meant as a put down, so don't take it that way, but it sounds like you don't know what key you are playing in, the good news is that this problem is easily solved by learning basic theory, So MM, move on down to the theory forum, and ask a few questions and you'll get plenty of help,
