Anybody know how the "wah" effect to Stevie Wonder's, "Superstition" is done? Is it wah?

I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio guitar with a Boss ME-50 stomp box and its wah-wah pedal.
Is this effect wah? Or is it something else? What do I need to get to accomplish this sound effect?
Heard this on an oldies' radio station the other day and hence my quest.
Thanks for any help or insight as how this is done.
