Snark Tuner

Hi

I have had one of these tuners for about a year now and it beats anything I have tried before, including tuners that cost twice as much. Do yourselves a favor and pick up one of these nifty gadgets.

well they say it is free if you buy one year subscription, I did signed for one year 2 months ago but the tuner is not free at all.

I signed up for a year subscription and was supposed to get a snark and they never sent it , I told administater about it in a e-mail and they did not acknowledge it.Has anyone recieved one or was it a scam

Yes.. I signed up and got mine. It took about a week to process the new sign up, but I got my snark.

Although I wasn't eligible for the freebee I did check it out and ended up buying the tuner......used it for the first time on a gig saturday and it was awesome.........

It is definitely not a scam. I signed up for the one year subscription and I received my Snark tuner a few weeks later. And the Snarks are great tuners.

I would check back with the Administrator again. Things happen and maybe they missed the email.

Not a scam... I got mine

the tuner is not a scam,

i was unable to receive mine due to living overseas but i was offered another couple of months free on the website instead, which i took up.

GT is one of the most solid sites i have ever come across. they didn't have to offer anything to me, due to not for-filling the requirements. however they did which is greatly appreciated.

Just purchased a Snark N-8 tuner and love the thing. Just one issue, I cant figure out how to use the tap metronome. There are two way to use the metronome according to instructions. Upon activating the metronome feature it auto set to 100 beats per minute ( a pulsing red heart icon appears on the display- no sound with the metronome just a blinking indicator). Upon activation option one is use the up or down buttons on the back to slow or speed the temp. No problem with that option. Option 2 however is the tap baton on the side of the tuner which after activating the metronome the user is suppose to tap the button and then tap again. Pausing between tap as the appropriate temp should set the metronome at the desired rate. My problem is that , after activating at 100, the first tap set at 40 beats a minute. After that the second tap give me a different tempo reading which never seem to correspond to the tempo I wasn’t.
I would appreciate any comments on how to set the tap setting.

I received my Snark shortly after I signed up for a year, during their promotion last April. They sent me an awesome Blue one and it does work better then anything I have purchased and its sooo easy to use! Hope you get yours!

I ran into the Snark at a store and bought one. I have found it to be the easiest and best tuner that I have. I have bought several of these clip ons over the years and this one works very well. However, be careful. The Snark can break at the swivel joint fairly easily. It may not be the best road warrior of my tuners but I really like it.

I wound up getting mine through Ebay some time back. I use it each time I head into my music classes... helps me stay out of that nasty "out of tune" zone and draw that negative stare from the instructor when you hit that out of tune string :D

ended up buying one. Great tuner!
