Hi from an old guy...

I've just celebrated my 47 birthday and one of my bucket list items is to learn to play the guitar. So here I am...learning. My fingers hurt, especially my pinky but I really think that this is going to be so worth it! Anyhow, I think I'm progressing pretty well and I like these lessons so I reckon I'll stick around.

Welcome to guitartricks. Just saw a story on a news station about a 61 year old woman who was attempting to swim from Cuba to Miami (Miami to Cuba).......now that's old.....er......I mean.....that's amazing!

Hey Pesetas,
You're not old! I wouldn't mind being 47 again but not without knowing what I know now! :) Seriously though, you can do it... it's a matter of having more desire and determination with which you will overcome any obstacles that stand in your way. Keep at it. Please let me know if I can be of any help to you. I'll be happy to help if I can.
Best,
BH

Pesetas,
I'll be 66 in a few months and I'm still learning..
There are a few other GTer's that have a few years on me..
It good therapy for sure.. I also do weights and a indoor stretching exercise routine..
Enjoy the show and keep on picking..

AND...it's great to know that perhaps I'm not really too old for this. I noticed this morning that some blisters are starting to form on my fingertips and perhaps they will turn to calouses(sp?) soon. I'm really enjoying this so far so I will definitely be around!
