(it's truely amazing what you can find on youtube these days) :D
My guess would be a Telecaster guitar (my assumption is that a strat would get you there too, but not sure). Probably using single coil pickups and an amp something like a classic Fender.
As far as any affects? I'm not sure, but I'd be willing to guess that the signal from the guitar was rather dry. Sounds like they were probably using the built in reverb on the amp though.
OH and you MUST not forget the snazzy jacket. I'm sure that contributes greatly to the sound :D
