Hi,

I noticed that many of the lessons show 3 note per string scales as the first position for both major and minor scales, but is not reflected like this on the Scale Finder provided. Am I missing something? I"m a bit confused.

Thanks,

Steve

Thanks for your feedback.

As you can imagine, we had a lot of choices to sort out when making the scale finder. There are many ways to make scale patterns, some that start on the scale roots, some that cover ranges of the fingerboard, and some that concentrate on maximizing the tonal possibilities of one position.

We opted for the smaller finger spread of the older "5 positions" systems rather than the more modern 3 notes per string systems.

It might be interestin in future to push farther with the scale finder to show all the different systems. But there is no current plan to do that.
