D'Addario XL's. .09's or .10's (you don't put .09's on a hollow body...just wouldn't sound right). Been playing them since '83. Why? Well, to me, they are brighter and more vibrant than anything else I've played....and they just 'feel' better....

I use the same brand (D'Addario XL); .09's or 9.5's dependng on the scale. I find the .095's have a little more feel on 24 1/4" scales guitars.
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.

Add 1 more to the D'Addario XL count. I use 10's. Haven't really played a lot of different brands, but I know I like them better than the Ernie Balls I used to use. Seem to last longer.

I guess I'm in good company.
I use D'Addario XL on my Tele.. D'Addario medium on the acoustic..
I watched reviews on Elixix strings and they talked a good story.. I think they are a bit pricey so it will be awhile before I try them, if at all.

Man, I thought about replying to this post back when there were no responses, but didn't bother because I just thought "well, I use D'Addario XL 10.s, but can't think of any special reason why... just have since I don't know when..." I wonder who buys all the other brands??

PS. I did buy some fancy smanchy new strings for my acoustic (not D'Addario, I don't remember the brand) a while back, and wasn't particularly impressed... they sounded dull pretty much right out the gate, so I don't know if some of the hype about what kind of acid bath the strings are dipped in or the vein of copper or whatever is really all that legit.

Recently purchased a used guitar strung with Dunlop 10-46. They sound great.

Oh ya and my classical/flamenco guitar uses D'Addario as well.
