what's happening folks. just signed onto this site. I've been playing for a few years, but never got too deep into the art of soloing and wanted to give a crack at it. I dig artists like Page, Hendrix, Omar Rodriguez Lopez, Adam Jones, Tom Morello, but am fairly surprised to find there's no solos tabbed for them on this site (least that I could see).

I'm also kind of wondering how they decided what songs to study on this site. blink 182, semisonic, and fallout boy, but none of the above? respect to those who dig blink 182 and fallout boy. And perhaps Omar is a bit too out there for a professional study. I'm just a bit curious as to why the site's repertoire is so unbalanced in this respect. apologies, because i am not familiar with everything offered on this site. so I'm wondering: do you folks have any suggested songs to look into here along the styles i'm interested in?

thanks a lot!

Hey there are plenty of tunes that I look for that are not on here. You can request to try and have them put on. Its expensive as they must buy the rights to the tune, so time and money is one. Go ahead and contact the administrator and have a chat with him. I think within 60 days if you are not happy they will give some type of refund to you, I have been to many sites and the "other very popular site" that starts with Jam! On that site the instructors are not as polished as Guitar Tricks instructors are.Guitar trick instructors are all very good players. They will take you from the beginning to the end and if you have questions they answer your email promptly. I have been around the block a few times with 50 years of playing the guitar. Been playing off and on but the one thing I have on my side is that I can get through the lessons very quickly. I think this comes from practice, practice and more practice. Now I am trying to catch up and having fun doing so, and I am learning plenty, That's my 2 cents!! I am an older dude but I am sure some of the young guitar players will give you some light on this subject, Good Luck!, Peter

The site staff can give you a fuller explanation but, in short, it does take much time and money to do it legally. Key on the word legal. This is a quality site from my experiences here with lots of good info. If you don't see the tab you want, I'd say go through various artist studies to get a rounded education. My though is not that you need to know exactly what notes an artist played but learn what they know and you get an idea about how they developed as artists.

Just another coupla cents...at this rate, we may get up to a whole dime ;)
