Alright guys rather then installed a guitar strap button on my old Yamaha f310 guitar. I'm going out to buy a 600-1000$ acoustic/electric guitar or acoustic and buy a really good pick up . Ultimately I know everyone has their own way of choosing their guitar based on what type of wood they like and how it sounds.

But are their any tips you guys can give that I should keep in mind when trying guitars out . Like what quality woods are there besides spruce because I heard that spruce is a really common popular wood that is used when making guitars .

Since this will be my first time picking a really good quality guitar .I want to get something that will sound great and proud to have and that I can play live and very special to me .

Np Hunter :) Moving right along I bought a Godin Multiac Spectrun SA for 1000$
. Tried about 60 guitars in 3 stores and fell in love with this at first.

Here it is on Musician's Friend http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Godin-Multiac-Spectrum-SA-Cutaway-AcousticElectric-Guitar?sku=518496
