Hey David,
I'm one of the instructors here, and would love to encourage you to join. Tons of pro-quality lessons, all levels, all styles. I get emails frequently from students, telling me they have really learned a lot from GuitarTricks.
Hope you'll join us - Lisa

Hi David,
I think this site is really useful. For 15 dollars a month.. you can really find a lot of stuff to learn on here, and the teachers are clear and really professional. Probably the best thing would be to have a real teacher and combine that with all the things you can take from here, it depends on how much time you can spend on the guitar.
good luck,
Davide

Is YES! But watch out for Christopher Schlegel! He's a slave driver :D
I am kidding of course.. the 3000 lessons pail in reality to the amount of times you will find yourself going back over them and finding that you missed something. Or that later down the line, something clicks in your head and you see something fall into place what the instruction was talking about.
Not to mention you actually have contact WITH the instructors. Like Lisa McCormick there.. LOVE ya Lisa! And Christopher Schlegel (AWESOME)! My man JD with his FACEBOOK updates on the things he's doing and of course my political buddy there Bobby Howe :D
For $15 a month, you are getting a WHOLE lot more than just instructions here.. you've got a whole century or more of combined experience from just a handful of people here. With what they all know and share with you here, it's a whole new world of experience for someone new and looking to learn. I've learned soooooo much from these folks here. More than just how to play the guitar. Things like how to set up your pedals for the best sounds. Tuning your guitar to a setting for a song that you'd never have gotten the sound of the band you are trying to copy. To even how to make a practice schedule fit into your 32 hour days (you slave driver you Chris :D )
If there were more sites out there that could ever live up to what this one actually gives you back in the wealth of information you get.. it would actually make the whole internet worth setting up toll booths for.
OK GT Staffers, you can release my hamster now! I said what you all wanted me to.. poor little Mr. Wiggims!!!
