Hey ive been playing for 6 months and im getting a new guitar for my 14th birthday. Ive been doing good in school and my parents said they would get me a guitar thats less than $2000.

What guitar should i get?

What Color?

Im leaning toward a Red American Strat... I played it at a music store and it plays awsome. Im also thinking about a Hamer or Gibson. Plz post with your advice. Thanx

Dillion guitars make some great Gibson "copies" ,apparently, we don't get them in the uk, so i can't tell you any more about them.

Personally,in your position,i'd get a Yamaha Pacifica/AES 500 (I have a Pac 112 - it's got a very good, easy neck)and a small Vox amp - then maybe later you can persuade your parents to buy you a car with the remainder of the money, or upgrade in a few years to a "classier guitar". :)

Which guitar have you got?
Accuracy,you say? hmm interesting concept..

**** I'd get a Jackson RR1 flying V Signiture. Silver probably. Then I'd get everything to go with it.

Go to Musiciansfriend.com
They have very low prices compared to normal stores. As a rule you should at least try the guitar before playing it, hence go to a store try it out and if you like it, order it. For 2000 dollars I would recommend you make the jump to either the gibson or fender category. I would choose a Les Paul sunburst, but that is your choice. Go and see the web site to see photos, pricing and other important things.
