Hey whats up guys,
I have an Ovation guitar that has a finished neck and would like to know if there is a way to make it into a satin finish without stripping the paint. I know about sanding it down but what grit do I use. Thanks in advanced....

Why would you want to strip the paint? Just lift your thumb off the neck a bit! ;)

Hi Franci5,

I used super-fine steel wool on the neck of my Les Paul and it created a similar satin-like finish.

It's important that you use the finest grade, which is "0000".
