Yes indeed, got me a new toy! Tons of pre existing rhythms. Everything from Rock, Jazz, Country, Blues, Pop, Samba, etc etc....

Nice thing about this unit is that it's also got the Boss COSM processor in it for guitar and or bass tones.

Has a really great feature. Tells you what key the bass lines are in AND tells you what chord structure is coming up on the next measure.

I've never been interested in playing against backing tracks before but, now that I've purchased this, I see how fun it can be as well as valuable it is for learning how to improv as well as learning.

Thanks to eBay I was able to get an opened box (still brand new) for a LOT less than new.

Very cool! Nice touch having the next chord display. What is it like for programming tracks? Anything I've used so far (all software based, though) has been a real mouse trip doing up anything complicated.
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.

I've not really tried yet.

I suspect it's going to be what you'd expect. Some degree of pain in the tookas.

Something else that is really cool besides all the different kits that are built in is the fact that you can change they Key on a bass riff on the fly. So say you find an existing pattern built in that you like, but, you don't like the key the bass riff is in, you can change it.

So you can do both, you can create both drum patterns and bass riffs for any given patch.

I'm still ramping up on the unit. There is still a lot to be uncovered.

OH MAN....

I LOVE this thing. It getting me out of so many comfort zones. Forcing me to try new things, getting me into trying to create lead riffs, not just rhythms.

This is a FANTASTIC VALUABLE toy/learning tool, one of the best investments I've made.

I did some light reading on it. Seems they might have resolved the problems creating less-than-simple patterns. Cool!

I guess, I really don't know the history of their rhythm machines. I played around with the easy create mode. Seemed simple enough to create a pattern that way. Lots of different beats and bass lines you can get that way.

So far I've mostly been sticking with the pre loaded patches and have been improving over those. What a blast. It's brought a whole new level of excitement to being on my guitar.
