New Guy

Hi Everyone. I'm Dan and very new to Guitar Tricks. In fact, until last weekend, I have never picked up a guitar let alone try to play. So far I enjoy the site and it's perfect for someone who knows absolutely nothing about playing or reading music. Aside from playing trumpet in middle school, I have never played another instrument.

I'm trying to figure out how to read the notes, but I just can't get it yet. Am I hoping for too much too soon?? Any suggestions would be great.

Anyway, I'm enjoy my new found hobby and look forward to learning more about guitar and music.

Sore fingers are a good sign. Take your time and absorb what you're learning, it will all come in due time if you're patient and keep working at it.
