I am not very experienced, but the appeal to music, in general, to me is exactly what you seem to be having a problem with. You can always get better. There will always be a new style to master or even a new instrument to pick up. What's the point in playing after you reach the point that there is nothing else to learn? I say embrace the fact that you are never going to be satisfied with your skill level and let it drive you forward!
