Help connecting guitar to soundcard - What kind of preamp?
I own an amp, but it needs repair. I've connected it to my soundcard in the past and got pretty good effects using guitar rig 3 (demo) and Creative ASIO (for low latency). My question is what kind of simple amplifier will bring the guitar jack signal up to line level to plug into the flexijack of my Creative X-Fi so I can use Guitar Rig 3 to monitor it. At this point I don't want to record or spend a lot of money, just something to bring the clean guitar sound up to about 50 db so the soundcard can hear it. I don't want a USB solution now, just a minijack to soundcard solution. Thanks paj692

I believe any amp with an earphone jack...or a mic with an acoustic....should work fine... :cool:
