Fundamentals 1 and how to get better....

I am not new to the guitar, but I guess I am new to structured lessons. Playing for years a bit here and there, I can play barre, read tab, and do some basic picking. And I most probably know 20 Songs, but only the beginning ;-)
The reason I decided for online lessons is to learn the basics. I skipped the first lessons in Fundamental 1, and now I am learning the notes on each string, and do a hell of rocking out on Jingle Bells on two strings, but I am reading the music !!!
And actually that is quite nice. Any comments, tips or own experiences ? It is not so easy to start in Fundamentals 1, and not get bored, but I think to ensure I learn the basics, this is the best.
Any comments, anyone who did the same ? Did Slash start in Fundamentals 1 ?

Hello, i'm also playing alot of Jingle Bells to learn to read the notes(not by learning online but with a instructor) I switch between reading notes from a actual song(jingle Bells) and playing notes in a non logical setting. That helps me to realy understand wich note i have to play instead of memorizing the notes because you know the song :)

Yes, Fundamentals is very slow and painful to say the least but Important. For someone that has never picked up guitar before ( As I was when I started them) I think the the beginning videos are perfect but someone who has played a bit it will make you crazy lol.

I did Fund 1+2, all the rock courses, and some of the blues Over the course of 2 years.

Did Slash start in Fundamentals 1 ?

Have no Idea, but I'm pretty sure he started as a beginner at one time.
