Hey everybody! I just came on board here and I must say THIS IS AWSOME! I love reading all the cool threads about gear and all the input to all the comments. I could lose my job for wanting to stay home all day and just hanging around (after my lessons of course). I wish I had had somwhere like this to go to when I 1st was interested in playing guitar at the age of around 12 or so. I learned a few cords and could kinda play rythym on some stuff but just didn't know how to advance. Well that was in the 80's so I was just outta luck. I'm now 39 and saw this guy on youtube Kent Carlevi and was so inspired by his playing that I just had to try again. So being shy and not wanting to go to someone for lessons I done a search and stumbled on this place. Done some review searches and decided from there this was the place to be. I like all kinds of music from bluerass to rock. I still have my first guitar, an old Sigma Martin flat top that my dad bought new for me and a Blueridge BR70 flat top that I bought a few years ago just because I liked the sound of it. I also have a 1969 Fender Telecaster that belonged to my dad. Anyway just wanted to say hi and I know there are some awsome people here just from reading the posts. I recently ordered a squire j5 Tele and should get it this week. I also am wanting a fender mustang IV to use in place of my dads fender bassman amp because of the bulk and its so heavy to move around. So if anybody has this combo, let me know how you like it.
