And as second to your question: Which guitar should I buy ?
That's a really common question with a really common answer. First of all, determine which music you wanna play. Do you want to play acoustic songs or electric songs ? If you wanna play both it is preferable to buy an electric since you can play acoustic songs on electric but you might not on acoustic due to rock effects and so.
Secondly: My word of advice, GO TO A GUITAR SHOP. I know this sounds like a very general answer but you should let yourself get informed by a shop owner and make him play for you some things. Then you can decide the factors for yourselfs. What do I seek in a guitar ? Does the tone sound good to my ears, does it look good, and MOST IMPORTANT, do I feel comfortable holding it aka can I easily get my fingers around the guitar at any place. When you have short arms for example it might be difficult to actually go to the upper part of the neck. You should keep those things in mind, but eventually it is your choice to make to decide what things are important to you. We can't give you any advice on which guitar to buy ;-)
Perhaps brandwise it could, like Yamaha guitar are solid beginner guitars, but my advice would be to go with something more expensive from around $400 dollar IF YOU ARE REALLY SERIOUS AND KNOW WHEN PLAYING GUITAR IS SOMETHING FOR YOU AND YOU WILL CONTINUE PLAYING FOR YEARS. If that would be the case a bit more expensive instrument would be the right choice in my opinion.
