If you are a beginner, then I encourage you start with the Guitar Fundamental courses:

Regarding Fur Elise, classical guitars (like the one I am using in my classical lessons) typically do not have fret dots. As the previous posters suggested, I encourage you to use the notation as the best way to visually orient yourself.
