I have been tring to learn the guitar for a long time but never knew where to start. Got started now the problem is that i get board playing the same chords and what not for practice. Im haveing a lot of truble with learning songs well, because im still just a beginner. Is there a simple little jam that sounds good and offers good practice?

Don't know what you are trying to play, but maybe look into some Blues. It's only as complicated as you want to make it and there are several blues tracks in the GT Jam Station.

What I used to do learning was go through a song book (back then we only had books), and start with the 3-chorders. Pick a song you already know in your head. It's easier when you don't need to learn the song, just how to play it.

That's why I think Blues is so great to practice to. It's predictable which can be a real help.
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.

Sounds like you're getting fretbored... ;) Sorry, I couldn't resist. Blues is a good way to get a little jammin going without needing tons of knowledge. If you're playing acoustic, you might want to check out Lisa McCormicks beginner fingerpicking series.

I assume you are already working through the fundamentals; if not, then you definitely should start there.

If you already working on those, then you might have fun mixing these into your practice schedule:

Or these, if you are at all interested in classical.

No matter what you choose, have fun playing your guitar!
