Hello there
Hello, I'm 48 and from Moline Illinois and I'm an avid blues fanatic. I never really learned how to play guitar but picked up bits and pieces over the years working with bands and in the music industry and I could hold a steady tune until I suffered a stroke 9 years ago and lost most of my memory and some limitations to my hands. Well now I've got me a Fender Strat a Fender Mustang Amp and I'm ready to dive back in but boy it sure sucks to be back to square one. this is where Guitar Tricks comes into play...I can't wait to start and see how I can do in 2011.

You can do it! Work hard, stay focused, and you will be shredding blues in no time! If you encounter something that's difficult, never say you "can't" do it. You can do it, you just haven't done it yet!
Good luck to you! I can't wait to hear your success story!
"Press on: nothing in the world can take the place of perseverance. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."
-Calvin Coolidge

Nine tenths of education is encouragement!!! So, I am here to encourage you to do your best and succeed! And speaking of success, please remember that: "Success doesn't come to you. You have to go for it!" Someone said: "The difference between 'try' and 'triumph' is a little 'umph!'"
Good luck!!!
