First, take your time in accomplishing the skills in those lessons gradually. You can move forward through the course, but make time to go back over the inversions until you can do them.
Next, they are tricky little shapes. Remember to be patient with yourself. Some of this has to do with isolating only three strings to strum. Some of it might have to do with twisting your fretting fingers around to isolate those three notes. Take your time. Like much of the Fundamental courses, you might find watching the lessons quick & easy, but actually being able to do what is taught a lot more time consuming.
Finally, there are many other tutorials I've done on triads & inversions. These are much longer & more involved. We tried to make everything in the Fundamentals courses concise & to the point! So, for a more leisurely approach to triads & inversions, please use these to supplement your GT lessons. :)
