Newb here. Just started a few weeks ago and am new to the site. I think it a great way to get started and progress. Have a few questions;

I know that chords have variations and I'm aware of what they are, but don't understand voicing.

Secondly, are there any lessons on strumming. I find it difficult to strum up and chords that are less than 6 strings, especially on the up stroke.

Thanks!

Hi Shayes...
Welcome to GT..
If you give a little info of your skill level, music style your working on/towards, lesson and instructor your viewing help us..
I would say go slow and focus one chord.. build up your right hand memory. Assuming your right handed.. Also say the chord name helps..Get that chord down fair and the go to another.. Then work on putting two chord together..
Good Luck...

Thanks for you help.

I'm a beginner and have only been at it a few weeks. I picked up the guitar when i was 12 but it didn't last, so here I am 32 years later with a lot more patience and time to give'r another go. I'm unsure on on style and direction. Still trying to figure that out, but I was trying to learn a song and was having some difficulty strumming. As the old saying goes, " the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak". ;)
