I've been obsessed with the Crowes acoustic CD for a few months now and am dying to give it a try.
Easy Black Crowes Songs?

I am a huge Black Crowes fan and am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of some easy Crowes music I can try to play. (other than Good Friday). I am a beginner and know the basic open and minor chords taught in GF 1 and 2 and am just beginning Barre Chords. (anders does a couple BC tunes here, but I think they are beyond me).

"She Talks to Angels" is pretty fun to try. I am no expert now but I remember this one begin one of the first songs that I tried when I picked up this habit.
I have never looked at the tabs for it, but, "Seeing Things" (Or, is it "Seeing Things for the First Time"?) sounds like it would be very easy.
I was a big fan of their first two CDs ("Shake Your Money Maker" and "Southern Harmony...."). They kinda lost me with "Threes Snakes and one Charm". After those, I haven't heard anything other then the "By Your Side" CD.
This Acoustic CD that you speak of,,,, would that be the VH1 Unplugged? I may go and acquire this.

I'm a rabid Crowes fan so forgive me if I go on too long but a few comments:

They took a long hiatus after that album and came back with "Warpaint" - I think it's excellent, it sold very well, and for what it's worth the critics liked it to (I just know what I enjoy).

It's called Croweology....more or less of a greatest hits celebrating 20 years but they do it acoustically and different, so t might be worth looking into.
Another GREAT one IMO is "Brothers of a Feather" - actually not a Black Crowes album but Chris and Rich Robinson only, doing some of their favorite covers, a few BC tunes, and some original stuff.....this is one of my favorite albums of all time and I definitely recommend it is worth looking into.

Hopefully I made some good recommendations and hope you enjoy. In particular, let me know if you like Brothers of a Feather.

I put all three on one MP3 CD-r and have been listening on my commute. So, I don't exactly which songs are from which CD but there is some good stuff there for sure.
I will probably take these and the other CDs I have and make my own "best of".
