Reading traditional sheet music

As the subject suggests, is there an easy way to, or does GT courses cover, how to read the traditional music? it just seems so confusing.

I've tried googling it but it seems that any site that is any good wants money and I've already given GT my money heh so I thought I'd turn to you guys first.
