Hey anyone,

How long would one expect to stay in GF1? What are some great indicators that you are ready for GF2?

I've been practicing the full chords (stupid F-Major) but haven't really got any of the samples other than Jingle Bells down pat.
Should I have better experience with these pieces before I consider moving on to GF2?

Hello phreakwently
The GF1 and GF2 are the basic of everything else. Stick to GF1 untill you can master everything there but start exploring GF2 as well. The great thing of the site is that you can go back to a lesson anytime you want and need.

Carmine

Hey phreakwently
the stupid F chord is a problem for many.. I would move on with the rest of the course.. Just use F chord practice at begining or end of your session.. Work it in as it comes along in other situations.. It comes easier as you progress.. It will come along..
good luck

Thanks Gordon,

I'm not getting tooooo hung up on it. I used to find the C-Major a struggle but it is becoming easier too.

I think I just need to lower my expectations, I've only been playing a week! (12 hours straight on the first day with this site, its great!)

Tim.
