Has anyone else had a mental blockage like this.

On GF2 and playing the 120bpm backing tracks. All was going well but I have suddenly begun having problems playing the Dm chord. Had some problems with this chord when I first started playing but thought I had got it okay. It seemed like one day I was playing the chord okay and the next day it was just not right and was sometimes putting my ring finger on the e string instead of the B string. Really strange.

I am planning to go back to the original lesson when Dm was introduced and will probably play the 80bpm tracks for a while to see if I improve again.

Has anyone any other suggestions?

Dm is a tricky chord at first but play and repeat x 100 and you'll start to get better with it. Have faith and it'll come. Good luck!

I think going back to the lower bpm is the best move. Just take it slow and allow your muscles to get used to the Dm position. It will all come together in time.

Thanks for the comments. Have gone to a lower speed and have got it back again. When I went back to 120bpm it just seemed to come naturally. Have also tried just playing the chord, taking my fingers off and then playing again. That seemed to help too.
