Sorry to hear about your troubles here. I don't work for GT, but do know that they have to go through a substantial amount of legal processes in order to be able to even do these songs from artists, as well as pay fees. I don't believe that GT is trying to fool anyone. If I had to guess, it would be that there are legal issues involved that prevent them from being able to supply backing tracks.
While it may leave you (<--Steve) wanting more, I think it's very cool that they can offer up this service to folks. :cool:
