Inflected swing rhythm from GF 1

This riff has been a great challange for me. I've always been a little fuzzy on the mechanics or theory of rhythm. I can keep a simple beat, but when it comes to figuring out and putting together different beats and tempos, I get confused. I have that book on Music Theory for Dummies and that explains how rhythm works in layman's terms, but I feel like, if I could look at a staff with different kinds of rhythms on it and have the sounds to go along with it. I might be able to understand it better.
