Hello from Scotland Randwool, sorry to tell you that it is highly addictive, I am 57 years old, still learning, getting more problems with "GAS" as I get older, now have a Jim Deacon acoustic, Yamaha semi acoustic, Gibson epiphone, ozark dobro, fender strat, and a martin &co parlour guitar, but still can't pass a guitar shop without drooling, I don't think there is a cure for "GAS" probably you need patience and understanding from your loved ones, best of luck Ronnie
